Kauai native Doug Carvalho: nature and the beauty of Kauai inspire him to envision and bring to life his creations. He salvages fallen local trees, turning them into everlasting usable art. As a man of faith he donates much of his work to his church to support mission work and outreach. Doug especially enjoys that his four grandkids sense his passion for woodworking. They are always around, to learn about his craft, to give him inspiration and to just keep him company, as he can constantly be found in his workshop producing new and unique masterpieces.
